in the county to ensure that all food served to consumers in Clinton County
is safe, wholesome, and served in a sanitary manner. |
|
|
II.
PRIVATE SEWAGE DISPOSAL |
| Inspections,
consultations, and education are provided to contractors, homeowners, and
complaints on private sewage disposal. Permits are issued and inspections
are conducted on new or remodeled systems in accordance with State of
Illinois regulations. |
|
III.
PRIVATE WATER SUPPPLY |
| Analysis
and inspections are conducted for individuals with private water supplies
in order to guarantee a safe and potable water supply. The Clinton
County Health Department is an agent for the Illinois Department of Public
Health issuing water supply permits and conducting inspections for private
water supplies. In addition, non-community public water is tested
quarterly. |
|
|
IV. NUISANCE |
| Nuisance
conditions may result in the spread of disease and can endanger the safety,
comfort, and well-being of the public. The environmental health
program asists in reducing these problems by investigating complaints
on an individual basis. |
|
V. SOLID WASTE |
| Reducing
vectors, nuisances, and the transmission of disease if possible through
the elimination of improper disposal of solid waste. Investigations
are handled on a compliant basis. |
|
